So I went over to Tandy's Leather Factory in Elgin (www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en…) and discover a glorious factory of cowhide, rawhide, deerskin, etc from various colors and textures.  I went in at awe and inspiration that I finally found a local place that sells legit leather.  The best thing about this place is that its hassle free.  They aren't staring at you or asking a bunch of annoying questions while you are looking around.  Plus the people there are huge nerds that are friendly.  Sure that is a understatement, but some of the nerds that I meet are not all that friendly.  The only downside about this place is that the leather can be pricey.  Average price is $10-12 per sq foot with a average size of any piece being 6-8 sq feet. So we are talking a price of $60-96 dollars a piece. *_*  The upside is that they have club membership prices and sales all the time.  Also they are very lenient with the past and future sales (as long as I'm walking out happy).  Haggle, haggle, haggle is the key!  I also brought my giant buckle piece for Fix it Felix which is 3 inches long and a Plaque rectangle buckle that has a slight curve.  Overall I'm looking forward to going back there soon.  

..why I do the things I do?  How long is this going to last?  And what is the purpose of the things I do?
